This is the Zip Devote. It's all leather with custom hardware, measures 18" x 7" x 12" and sells for $655. I love it because it's not too fancy, not too casual, and just plain pretty. If I saw a woman walking around with it, I would have total accessory envy.

New Favorite is my ipod. It seriously keeps my kids happy with all of the appointments and therapy. My son has PFAPA Fever Syndrome and my daughter Polymicrogyria and between the two of them we are always at appointments. Ipod keeps them happier and I say sane. The local children's hospital is 45 minutes away so it makes for a long day :)

I always have a book in my purse so I have something to do when kept waiting. Very helpful in keeping frustration at bay, since usually there's nothing you can do to speed up the wait and there's no sense in pointlessly raising your own blood pressure!

Hmm my favorite thing was actually my daughters. When she was little probably about 2 she put in her little "penny" (a fake penny) in my purse for me because i told her I was out of money and couldn't buy something so she gave me some of hers. I still carry it in my purse so I can take it out and look at it and remember how much I love my girls. :-)

These days it's rare for me to carry my purse -- most of the time I'm hauling around a big ol' diaper bag crammed with the usual baby paraphernalia plus backup tube feeding supplies and books to keep the little one happy during all the hours we spend in waiting rooms.
My purse is the opposite -- small, so there's not much in it. My favorite item is my cell phone, because it means quick access to my baby or other loved ones!

The best thing in my purse that makes me happy is the picture of me shot by my late brother taken on the day, 19 years ago, that I finally gave up smoking after 25 years of sucking on the coffin nails. The second thing is knowing that my inhaler is there if I need it to help my breathing.
