Mom goodies giveaway: Win a $165 basket of Burt's Bees stuff
Because nobody deserves treats more than moms, because it is January and I'm sure you could use a pick-me-up right about now, because giving stuff away to you makes me really happy, here you go: This basket of 15 treats from Burt's Bees. I have two of them up for grabs.
I've been using Burt's Bees for years; I have a thing for their Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream, Pomegranate and Soy Shampoo, and lip balms. I like using their products on the kids, too, since they're made from natural ingredients (unlike my kids, who are approximately 5 percent Chef Boyardee).
Each basket has treats for you and the kids. For you: Fabulously Fresh Peppermint & Rosemary Body Wash, Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Orange Wax Body Lotion, Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Bilberry Foot Crème, Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Grapeseed Oil Hand Crème, Therapeutic Bath Crystals, Radiance Exfoliating Body Wash, Radiance Eye Crème, Radiance Night Crème, Radiance SPF 15 Day Lotion, Pore Refining Mask, and a Lip Balm Purse Pack. For the kids: Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion, Baby Bee Buttermilk Soak, Baby Bee Tear Free Shampoo & Wash, and Baby Bee Skin Crème.
To enter, tell me which part of yours could use the most TLC now. The lower part of my legs look like they could belong to an alligator, they are so crackly-dry; I always forget to take care of them. I need a device that automatically squirts lotion onto them when I step out of the shower, and then I need George Clooney to drop by and rub it in.
BONUS ENTRIES: After you leave your main comment, leave a separate comment for each of the following that you have done.
• Follow LoveThatMax on Twitter.
• Tweet about this giveaway and leave a comment with your Tweet time stamp (translation for Twitter newbies: click on the time below the Tweet, which shows you the URL). You can use this Tweet: Win a $165 basket of Burt's Bees products from @LoveThatMax, two winners, ends 1/20, http://lovethatmax.blogspot.com
• Subscribe to the To The Max feed; you can do that here, or another way, and leave a comment saying how you subscribed.
• Follow this blog on Blogger.
• Join the To The Max fan page on Facebook.
• Leave a comment on a non-giveaway post on this blog, then come back and tell me which post you commented on.
• Add my button to your blog and post a link to your blog in the comment below.
• Blog about the giveaway on your blog or website, and link back to here. Leave a comment below with the URL to the post.
This giveaway is open until Wednesday, January 20, 2010, 11:59 EST, and is for U.S. and Canadian residents. I'll pick two winners on randomizer.org, announce them on Thursday, January 21, and alert you by e-mail.
Good luck!
Note: I did not receive any products for this giveaway; these are my honest opinions. Note to my husband: Just kidding about George Clooney, but I am now taking applications for the lotion-slathering job.
UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed.

You are such a sweetheart! And its not even a month since all of your Christmas giveaways ended.
ReplyDeleteI would slather my whole body. My hands and lips crack when its cold and they hurt; and my skin gets itchy and chapped. In fact I use Burts Bees balm on those cracks- they heal faster. I love the taste and smell of the passion fruit.
P.S. How's the therapy going for your knee?
My abdomen for some unknown reason is super duper dry this year! I'd love to try some Burt's products on it!
ReplyDeletethanks

ReplyDeleteThe heels of my feet can always use a little extra TLC. Although, I received a Ped Egg as a White Elephant gift a year or two ago. Finally broke it out and am impressed with how well it works. :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you. It is my lower legs and feet that I neglect. They truly look like alligator skin. They seem hopeless, but if I am lucky enough to win, I will neglect them no more.

ReplyDeleteMy lips are parched....they could use the most TLC. But I just became a fan of Burt's this season. A friend gave me some Beeswax Hand Creme as a gift and I religiously slather it on my hands after every time I was them. Love.
ReplyDeleteI subscribe to you by blogger.
ReplyDeleteMy whole body could do with TLC to be honest; I have ME and this time of year the muscular and joint pain sucks the big one. If I had to pick one place, I could really do with a nice back massage. Are you listening, Unhusband? ;o)

ReplyDeleteEnter me, Ellen! It would definately be my hands needing the relief! But my lips are pretty cracked too! My favorite B.B. product is the baby lotion-it smells so good!
ReplyDeleteAlso subscribe thru Google reader!
ReplyDeleteI love Burt's Bees! And January is the worst. My feet are "crunchy" as the kids put it. My hands are like chalk. Nasty.
ReplyDeleteAnd? I'm a Twit Peep. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso? You're in my Google Reader. Although I really need to add you to my blogroll on the blog. But that's just for show - I read through the Google.
ReplyDeleteMy hands could use all the TLC they can get--very chapped and dry in this chilly weather! I could totally use the Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Grapeseed Oil Hand Crème in the basket!

My hands need the most help. The sides of my thumbsa re cracked all winter long, no matter how often I slather them.
ReplyDeleteMy feet are pretty bad too, but at least I have shoes to cover them!
momofabc at nycap.rr.com
HORTON111@AOL.COM .... MY FEET ARE SO DRY THEY REALLY, REALLY NEXT ALL THE HELP I CAN GIVE THEM....AND I DO LOVE BURT'S BEES PRODUCTS
ReplyDeleteI would use the lip balm like crazy! I have Burt's Bees lip balm stashed everywhere.
ReplyDelete-On my nightstand.
-In my mini-van.
-In Caleigh's Diaper Bag.
-In my mini-van...I've lost a few but I know they are in there somewhere.
-In my purse.
-In my pocket.
And I love to share with Caleigh's kissable lips...daily.
This is so funny yesterday I had to pry my son's hands off of some Burt's bees chapstick. It was just a little fit at Wal-Mart.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, my heels are icking, always have been. As far as your legs try putting on baby oil after a bath while you are still wet then dry off. It sucks that moisture in. Also I look George Clooney gets sexier the grayer is gets, love him.
My heels need healing!!! I would put the Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Bilberry Foot Crème to very good use.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Burt's Bees products. Daniel and I both have very sensitive skin, so I get him the shampoo and bubble bath. My absolute favorite BB product is the peppermint face scrub. It's the only kind I have ever used that doesn't irritate my skin, plus it smells great!
ReplyDeleteMy lips are very dried out from the New England weather right now. I'm going to pick up some more BB pomegranate lip balm later.
Good luck to everyone who enters!
my crackling dry old lady hands that belie my young inner self! keep up the great work. I read you every single day and can relate to so much of it. PT helped my kid learn so many things as an infant/toddler as an older 10 yr old I've found that we supplement with more typical experiences to help with muscle/coordination - like flag football, ice hockey etc. I don't think his life would be the same w. out all of that early and then pre-school and early elementary intervention. Sabrina is such a supportive big sister. So intuitive to sign her and Max's name. I worry about my other son at times. My father in law said - he answers and repeats what his brother says when someone doesn't understand. Always something to think about - that is what you give me each day. thanks!

Right now it is my hands! They are extremely chapped and are killing me!
ReplyDeletechoateorama(at)gmail(dot)com
right now my lips, hands and feet are so dry they all need some TLC
ReplyDeletetiramisu392 (at) yahoo.com
for some reason after I had my son my skin has become extra dry. Now, during the winter my ankles are all dry, dark and cracky... this has never happened to me before, and even though I lotion it seems to not be going away. so my ankles need the most attention right now!
ReplyDeletejennifer.lleras@gmail.com
I could use help on every part of my body...but I would have to say mostly my feet, hands, and lips. I am also already a follower of this blog (through Google).
ReplyDeleteBurts Bees is some great stuff - just a little pricey! Definitely an indulgence. Great giveaway idea! I'd use their stuff on the spots of my skin that are dry and cracking due to Psoriasis. That would relieve some of this itching for sure! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy dry feet already say thank you-
ReplyDeleteDiane Baum
esldaine@gmail.com
My feet, every winter they become so dry, especially the ankles and heels.
ReplyDeleteMy hands! I could really use that hand repair cream. My fingertips are becoming cracked from being so dry. A combination of cold weather and lots of cleaning and hand-washing have been brutal on them!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Burt's Bees stuff. My skin is so dry, especially this time of year. I have a "granddaughter in-law" in Bahrain and the Burt's Bee lip balm is one of the things she likes to receive in her "goody bags"...
ReplyDeleteHope your knee is getting better..

ReplyDeleteMy hands and feet plus my hair is dry too. I think my whole body needs lots of help.
ReplyDeleteLets see the part i use the most would be the chapstick stuff especially in the winter time. BUT, we use ALOT i mean ALOT of the lotion to go on my daughters hands. During the winter her knuckles and wrists crack and sometimes bleed. This seems to be the only thing that really works!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a gift! Thanks for sharing with us. I have to admit that my body area that needs some attention right now is my feet. I never pay enough attention to them- some yummy lotion would be much appreciated in that area.

ReplyDeleteI live in a dry region so my whole body could use some help. :)
ReplyDeleteOne of the other posts I have left a comment on was the one where Max got to go fishing for the first time and you were doing your own celebrating. That was such a sweet post!
I must share with you that I often "force" my husband to listen to me read your blog to him. He almost always comes away with tears in his eyes. Keep up the good work! We love your honesty and strength . . . and your wonderful family.
Thank you!
My feet could use a little TLC.. For some reason they are extra dry this year.
ReplyDeletetelfordfamily at yahoo.com
My legs need some extra TLC. Starting in December and ending in April, they itch so horribly from dry skin. I think I've tried everything (even meds from the doc) to make it stop!
ReplyDeleteMy hands desperately need some attention and love. Because they are required to work overtime, taking on the jobs of both hands and feet when propelling my wheelchair, they take a lot of abuse. In the frigid cold of Michigan winter, the slush and salt and frozen metal push rims take their toll even with modified gloves. They are also usually stained with some tint of paint or other art material.
ReplyDeleteI am not a mom, but for three years I dearly loved My Kids who were entrusted to me as a special education teacher and I dearly miss being able to teach. I am also a super aunt to 40lbs of pure attitude topped with a tiara. :)

Hmmm... I would have to say my elbows and knees are in dire need of some Burt's Bee's super conditioning. With the bitter cold, lack of sun and working out...it's been a rough winter on my skin.
ReplyDeleteMy hands suffer the most in winter. They get so dry and cracked. I seem like I'm moisturizing all day.
ReplyDeleteMy feet could use some TLC especially around the heel/ankles.
ReplyDeleteMy hands could use some TLC. Using the heat during all the cold weather lately has made my knuckles crack and bleed.
ReplyDeleteI could really use a pedicure and some love on my dry winter feet.
ReplyDeleteMy knees get very dry with dark patches.
ReplyDeleteabfantom at yahoo dot com
Oh my gosh! My leg's look like someone took baby powder and rubbed it all over a baby gator! They're awful and Burt's Bee's is exactly what I need to prepare them for spring and short shorts! Thanks for your blog! Very uplifting!
ReplyDeleteTHE FEET. Horribly disturbing is their present condition.

Wow! What a giveaway! My face could really use a lot of care. Since I had my daughter, my skin has gone through some serious changes. More dryness, less elasticity -- and acne! Never had a problem in high school or beyond, but once I had my daughter, I started breaking out! So some serious treatment is needed. I love the tea tree oil acne treatment that Burt's offers. Thank you so much for this giveaway!
