  1. First, Happy Birthday Ellen! I linked up a post from the Mighty about the author's feeling with her baby pictures as a preemie. I felt a very strong personal connection to this piece. I was born at 28 weeks weighing 1 lb 14 oz and spent 3 months in the NICU. At home, I never felt weird about my baby pictures, perhaps because they seemed normal to me. But whenever baby pictures were needed for a school assignment, especially early baby pictures, I was faced with the stark reality that I was different. I am proud and always have been of being a preemie, but when people(kids and teachers) say your birthweight is impossible, you are an inspiration just for being born, and that you don't look like a baby, you look creepy or like a cyborg, those things do sting.

  2. I wrote two primarily humorous posts at #8 and #9. One is my "MBTIs as Disability Bloggers" post. It gives a witty insight as to how MBTI affects the way one would blog. The other is a parody of the song "Honor to Us All" from Mulan that reflects on how someone's experience with compliance therapy might go.

  4. This week I shared a time/energy management tool that's a favorite with many of my counseling clients who are moms to kids with disabilities. Hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing, warm, joyous Thanksgiving!

  5. Thanks for hosting again—even with a spanking new baby in your household. This week, after Donald Trump attempted to mimic a journalist with a disability, I couldn't get that out of my head. Partially because my daughter had movements similar to the ones Mr. Trump imitated. Any we've written him a letter regarding his actions and if you want to read more, check out #26 above. Hoping everyone's Thanksgiving weekend is a success!
