A blog about kids with special needs who kick butt
We went out to eat last night to avoid the crowds, along with a huge crowd of other folks. Gabriel and Marcus paid for my meal as their gift to me. Tevis gave me candles and a homemade card, and made me coffee and breakfast (blackberries and yogurt). And I got flowers from a mysterious sender (?). But my heart just isn't in it...my mother passed away two months ago so Mother's Day is so painful this year.
Well. I got to sleep a little late. Then I got to do laundry, clean the house and tend to the kids. Now I'm going to work.
Happy Mother's Day, Ellen! You deserved to sleep in! LOL!
Eating out...flowers... a necklace... Just hanging out! It's been great!
Happy Mother's Day! I have to ask- did you get breakfast in bed?My daughter is cleaning her room as I sit at the computer. "No helping" she said.
Pancakes and some housework. Happy Mother's Day to you Ellen!
Galen, I'm so sorry. I know Mother's Day is sad for a lot of people. I'm glad your family gave you some comfort. Cristin, I think you need to speak to The Mother's Day Committee People, as you did not get your due! Susan, I got something even better than breakfast in bed (IMO): Dave took the kids out for breakfast AS I SLEPT!!!! I'm glad everyone enjoyed. I'll show you the best part of my day tomorrow!
Great morning snuggles in bed, bath with my little boys then a date with my oldest son.Zackie said 'mumumum' for the first time ever- i wasn't sure that was going to happen but it did!Wrote a post on our IVF experience...I was inspired to tell our story on this amazing day. www.tjzmommy.blogspot.com
Grammy and I got pampered by Grampa and the boys--home-made cards, a fancy brunch at the local eatery, and a wonderful cookout supper! No tantrums, no pouting, no whining, no petty fights, either....a magical day!
I had the perfect day!! Glad you did too.
Looks like a wonderful day for you! The homemade gifts are so special!I came over from 5 minutes for mom...my pleasure to "meet" you on the internet today!Have a great week!Mindy
Happy Mother's Day to you, too, Ellen. You are an awesome mother and role model for advocating for your child.
