Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-Up: Labor Day Weekend Edition

It's another Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-Up, extending through Labor Day! So much more exciting than all those Labor Day sales, eh? Um, not that there's anything wrong with buying your fourteenth pair of strappy sandals because you got  a great deal. Not that I know anybody like that.

The idea

Link to a favorite post of the week—yours or someone else's.

What to do

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post. Where it says "Your name" put the name of the blog followed by the title of the post (or just the name of the post, if there's no room—you get 80 characters).

Like this: Love That Max: My Sister Went To Camp And All I Got Was A Lousy Week Off

Where it says "Your URL" put the direct link to the post.

Click "Enter." Leave a comment if you want to say more. Go check out some great posts.

Happy linking!

  1. Thanks again, Ellen. Dexter's post this week is about his new standing frame. Nothing beats getting the right therapy equipment and hearing 'playing' sounds for, perhaps, the first time! Happy weekend.

  6. Thanks, Ellen for another week to link-up. Out One Ear is #23 this week--When There's A Will, There's A way: A Special Needs Couple Finds A Way To Make Their Wish A Reality. Lindsey continually surprises me. I wonder why she is still doing that at 33, but she is. (Maybe I should have more faith in her?) I love participating and reading. Looks like a great weekend of reading ahead of me. Thanks again.

  9. Grateful for the opportunity to share here, and read about others & their journey!! Sharing a post for a couple of years ago about the hard part of raising awareness of our disease. We have another awareness week coming up in September and am reminded that sometimes raising awareness means reminding ourselves of all we deal with day in and out, that we conveniently gloss over or ignore the rest of the time, and that taking care of ourselves is important too.

  12. Whoops, I forgot to put the name of the blog. The blog is "Walk a Mile in My Issues" and the post is "Secret Issues Mom". We even got a theme song from a reader, to go with the Secret Issues Mom theme (to the tune of "Secret Agent Man"!

  13. Hey there. I love the link up!

Thomas Marshall Does It All: Fighting for Resources - - My blog is in a contest to win a SMART Brailler for my son who is blind. The hard thing is being in a contest against other families to get a resource we all need and each blind child deserves. It shouldn't have to be this way.

  14. The comment about Sabrina going to camp made me think -- did Max not go away to camp this year? Just curious, since he (and you) got so much out of it last year. (I can't believe that was a year ago!)
