Win a stash of GoGo squeeZ, Max-approved applesauce to go

Along with spaghetti and chocolate ice-cream, applesauce is a staple in our home. Max can't down hard or crunchy foods, and he's slurped up this stuff since he was a baby. He loves the taste, the consistency is right, and it's a helpful way of keeping him hydrated in warm weather. Sometimes, I get him the purple (blueberry) variety.

One recent find for us: GoGo squeeZ, applesauce that comes in a handy pouch in a bunch of flavors; he most likes AppleCinnamon and AppleBanana. Max is able to hold it and down it; yay for independent drinking! Who knows, by next summer he could be holding his own beer! He, he. I love that this stuff is natural and 100-percent fruit, the pouches are re-sealable, and each one is 3/4 serving of fruit. I have been known to borrow one or two here and there—they're totally tasty.

Last weekend, Max and I hit the GoGo SqueeZ Free Play Zone at New York's Summer Streets event. I loved that they were donating 2000 snack pouches to City Harvest, which collects and donates food to the hungry, and showing kids a good time.

Max drank some and did a drawing with a purple crayon, but wasn't up for partaking in any of the crafts or play activities because a band started playing nearby, loudly.

Despite the headphones, Max wanted to GoGo. Still, he'd had some purple-centric fun, not to mention his fill of applesauce.

And now, a GoGo giveaway for three readers. Up for grabs: Four boxes of GoGo squeeZ in various flavors (four pouches per box) and a super-cute Built Gourmet Getaway Lunch Tote. Each set is worth approximately $35. To enter, leave a comment about your child's idea of fun.

  1. Cute give away idea. I would enter the drawing but my son and I both don't like applesauce. Texture aversions.

  6. I have 4 kids, they all think different things are fun. We live in Alaska though and just got a dog (yesterday he came on the morning plane) so if you asked any of them right, what they consider fun, I'm sure it would have something to do with Tanner, our new yellow lab.

  13. Don't know exactly where you live, but assuming it's relevant, I wish you and your family a safe weekend.

Post-related comment: GoGo squeeZ is kosher. I haven't gotten any, but I'm sure my kids would love them. Of course, there's the worry, because at least two of them, their idea of fun would be using the Gogo squeeZ pouches for non-eating activities, including artistic creations and just liking to squish things.

  15. all 3 of my kids LOVE gogo squeeze. My 15 year old (mildly autistic) son has had one in his lunch all week for school. he's very picky, so sometimes gogo squeeze and V8 Vfusion are the only fruits and veggies I can get in him. My 5 year old has been taking them to school for snack.

right now all 3 kids are really into riding bikes! They like to ride to the neighbor's and play with her dogs and horses.

  27. this sounds interesting - I would love to try it.

today my kids idea of fun was to put their chairs back to the floor (like they had tipped over in them) and pretend our living room was a rocket ship taking off for space. They then "space walked" by holding hooked together hangers to anchor them to each other. I love it when kids come up with better stuff than we can!

  38. My daughter Lila's idea of a good time was racing around the beach on her hands and knees in the fastest crawl I've ever seen! We got in a few beautiful days on the jersey shore before Irene arrived. And sometimes when you ask for a kiss, she'll instead smack your mouth, and then do a pretend pout and cry because you're hurt. We haven't stopped giggling long enough to nip this in the bud!
