Stuff Worth Knowing About, 11/13 Edition

• There's a new mobile health app from Quest Diagnostics that lets you keep track of your family's medical history, immunizations and lab reports.
• McDonald’s is having its annual “Give A Hand” fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Through November 20, you can buy a $1 paper hand at McDonald’s and all proceeds go to RMHC.
You can also submit a photo of your hand with something you've written on it to support RMHC; every day between Nov 10 and Nov 20, one entrant will be randomly selected to win $500 for themselves and an additional $500 for their local RMHC. Last, make a "Family time" pledge on McDonald’s Facebook page; they will donate one penny to RMHC for each minute pledged.
• The Child & Adolescent Bipolar Foundation is competing for $250,000 in funding in The Pepsi Refresh Project. You can vote here, or send out this tweet: Help CABF win $250k to help kids with #bipolar #depression and related conditions. Vote daily! http://ow.ly/32umJ #pepsirefresh
• The Del Monte Fresh Produce people are giving away $100,000 to help teachers buy classroom supplies; you can vote for your favorite teachers here. This Monday, ten teachers will win $1000 each.

Woo hoo! Lots of opportunities to do good. Have a fun, feel-good weekend, everyone.

  2. I borrowed that one about RMH - I posted it on Lizzy's care page - we have stayed at a RMH a couple of times already and I really appreciate what they do for families!
