And this is what happened to the car wash costume

The car wash costume: it is no more. Destroyed by rain and Max's determination to actually put it to good use. We're thinking of opening a hand car wash in the spring: Car Washes By Max. It is surely our ticket to big bucks. That is, if Max decides to share with us.

And now, a Thanksgiving poll: Is it crazy that I'm already thinking about stuffing?! And by that I mean eating it, not making it.

  1. Awwww....at least you got plenty of pictures! AND a prize!

I love Thanksgiving--it's one of my favorite holidays. The whole family comes in from all points and we have a great time.

  2. you know it's one of the US customs I would love to take off here. In England we always have to cram family visits in with the festive season and work. Doing all of that in late November would really ease things.
..... and you get to east some fine food too :)

  5. My husband has this stuffing recipe where he adds canned chicken breast to the stuffing then he takes an ice cream scoop and scoops it out onto a cookie sheet, or a muffin pan, and bakes them for roughly 35 minutes at 350 or 400. Depends on how crunchy you want them. Less crunchy, 35 min at 350. More crunchy 400 for an hour.

  6. Holy Stuffing!!!! Karen: Now that you've told us THAT, you've gotta share the recipe! Lisa will very much appreciate it!

Colleen: So funny you're doing turkey tonight, too!

  7. That's pretty much it. You make boxed stuffing as the directions state, only you include canned chicken breast then you bake it. It isn't overly fancy but dear god is it good.

Now if you want a stuffing catastrophe you should try what we call creepy casserole. lol Stuffing from the box, mashed potatoes from a box, and green bean casserole all mixed up in one pan and baked like you would normally bake a green bean casserole. It sounds so gross but it's so good.

My husband does all this. I'm lucky I can boil water.

  8. Oh and btw, if you want to do the stuffing thing for Thanksgiving and don't want to add the chicken, you can do the baking it part as the only extra and still have single serving, crunchy stuffing muffins.

  9. Stuffing is my favorite part as well, but being from the south stuffing out of the box just won't do...only home made corn bread stuffing from scratch!

  10. Are you kidding.. I've been thinking about stuffing since the beginning of October! =)
Love your blog, Ellen. Max is a total cutie. My 3 year old twin boys have great hair as well, and I'm wondering about your experience with Max and haircuts. It's a bit of a nightmare for us. One has autism and sensory issues, my other boy has CP and and no patience (lol).
