  1. We went out to eat last night to avoid the crowds, along with a huge crowd of other folks. Gabriel and Marcus paid for my meal as their gift to me. Tevis gave me candles and a homemade card, and made me coffee and breakfast (blackberries and yogurt). And I got flowers from a mysterious sender (?). But my heart just isn't in it...my mother passed away two months ago so Mother's Day is so painful this year.

  2. Well. I got to sleep a little late. Then I got to do laundry, clean the house and tend to the kids.

    Now I'm going to work.

  5. Happy Mother's Day! I have to ask- did you get breakfast in bed?
My daughter is cleaning her room as I sit at the computer. "No helping" she said.

  7. Galen, I'm so sorry. I know Mother's Day is sad for a lot of people. I'm glad your family gave you some comfort. Cristin, I think you need to speak to The Mother's Day Committee People, as you did not get your due! Susan, I got something even better than breakfast in bed (IMO): Dave took the kids out for breakfast AS I SLEPT!!!! I'm glad everyone enjoyed. I'll show you the best part of my day tomorrow!

  9. Grammy and I got pampered by Grampa and the boys--home-made cards, a fancy brunch at the local eatery, and a wonderful cookout supper! No tantrums, no pouting, no whining, no petty fights, either....a magical day!
