Three cheers for Primal Scream Friday!

Got something to get off your chest? Join the fun. Shouting encouraged!

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE OUR ALREADY-RIDICULOUS TAXES KEEP CREEPING UP EVERY YEAR BUT OUR CITY IS SO CASH STRAPPED IT IS LAYING OFF FIREMEN AND POLICE OFFICERS AND REDUCING LIBRARY FUNDING? IS THERE, BY CHANCE, SOMEONE NAMED "MADOFF" RUNNING THIS PLACE?

INSURANCE COMPANY, YOU CAN KEEP DENYING PAYMENT FOR MAX'S THERAPIES, BUT IF YOU THINK I AM GOING TO GIVE UP ON THIS, YOU ARE IN DENIAL.

SPRING: HURRY UP! I HAVE QUIT WEARING SOCKS IN ANTICIPATION, AND I AM FREEZING.

WHY OH WHY DOES SABRINA INSIST ON STORING HER PINE CONE COLLECTION ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER? YOU CAN JUST BET THAT SOMEHOW, ONE OF THEM IS GOING TO END UP IN THE FOOD AND WE WILL BE EATING PINE CONE MEATLOAF FOR DINNER.

IS IT JUST ME OR IS AMERICAN IDOL GETTING A LITTLE BORING?

That is all.

  1. I can't help but wonder why my youngest son Harry is having such a hard time pooping on the potty. His older brother Evan had not problem getting the whole concept. Sigh.

  2. Is complaining the same thing as screaming? If it is, here goes:

I miss Max and Sabrina. I have not had a chance to visit them for a few weeks because this is my busy time of year and I am all tied up at work during the week and on the weekends. My free weekend time is spent doing my family's tax returns, plus, I am pregnant and need to do some clothes shopping real soon (like tomorrow or Sunday) or else my current clothes won't fit and I will have no clothes!!!

Because I am pregnant, I am generally not feeling great - I am tired and nauseous. On top of that, I am at a client in a small stuffy room with 4 other people and I think this room is making me feel even worse. Plus, the client's books and records are a total mess and none of the work can be completed because we keep finding mistakes, which is probably going to cause me to have to stay here in this awful room even longer.

Ok, that's it for now. Nothing tragic but just some things that are making my life somewhat unpleasant.

  3. I have been trying to get some extra funding to pay for Elizabeth's therapeutic riding from Easter Seals. Unfortunately they do not fund children under the age of 5 for therapeutic programs. You can have you still have CP even if you are under the age of 5, duh. Silly little rules, who makes them up?

  4. Ellen, keep fighting the insurance company! Be their worst nightmare if it means getting Max what he needs.
Without going into too much detail for legal reasons (hint, hint!), I'm beyond angry with Daniel's school. They are blatantly violating his rights, admit to it, and are practically waving it under my nose. They are about to get the wrath of the Mama Bear and her friendly helper, Mr. Special Needs Attorney.
It was also in the mid - 60's here just a few days ago, but it's only 28 degrees today! Not only do I hate the cold, but I think it's making the tightness that Daniel has in his leg this week due to another growth spurt even worse. Uggh, I'm so ready for warm weather!

  6. WHY IS IT THAT EVERY TIME WE COME STAY AT MY PARENT'S HOUSE AMELIA WON'T GO TO SLEEP UNTIL 10PM???

WHEN IS THE BOARD OF ED GOING TO APPROVE NURSING FOR AMELIA SO SHE CAN FINALLY GO TO SCHOOL?

WHY OH WHY DID I BUY 3 PACKAGES OF SMALL UNDERWEAR -- I KNEW BETTER. I'M A MEDIUM!!! ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE. NOW I HAVE TO TAKE THEM BACK TO TARGET TOMORROW AND GIVE THAT SHEEPISH LOOK AND SWEAR ON MY CHILD THAT I DID NOT TRY THEM ON!!!

WHY IS IT STILL SO FRIGGIN COLD????

  7. I always thought that Madoff guy was appropriately named, because he made off with everyone's dough!

I suppose I should be grateful that I DON'T have any money, with my luck some bum would have MADE OFF with it!!

I have one scream that has been on my mind lately--I NEED A BREAK!!! I need a break from the car seats and the boosters and the (not enough) therapy and the housework and the crappy part time job and the ends that don't meet!!

I can't complain to my folks because they do so much for me already. I know they didn't count on this lifestyle in their golden years. I don't know how I'd manage without family, but if I had some ruby slippers, I'd clap 'em together and say "There's no place like A GUILT FREE VACATION ALL BY MYSELF!!!!"

  8. Why can't people understand that pulmonary hypertension with no known origin is NOT good news?
Why is everyone celebrating when I am more scared than I have ever been?

  9. Wow. I have sat here for 3 whole minutes thinking of something to scream about and there's nothing. Nothing at all.

I am having a really, really great day. I even woke up and (willingly) went for a jog this morning.

I am sure regular programming will have returned by the next Primal scream Friday and I'll have a double dose to offer ;-). But for now, I am off to eat a bowl my favourite ice-cream (surely aforementioned jogging means that's OK?) ;-).
