And saying "Hi!" always w...Kids are kids. And saying "Hi!" always works. For me, being treated like a normal teenage girl is important and thankfully most of the time I am. However in my school I see that the students in the special needs classrooms are often ignored, even when they say "Hi" to you. I always respond with a name if I know it and make simple conversation.
