I laughed at the part about you needing to carry Max out of the waterworks exhibit, only because we'd have to do the same for M I am sure! :-)Mayahttp://marfmom.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-401303964563152307.post-49638464607281502012011-04-28T21:20:05.718-04:002011-04-28T21:20:05.718-04:00Hi! If you have a child with mild autism—i.e., disabilities not so apparent—I am not sure that would be the case, although it's hard to imagine those places demanding proof. I think it's always best to call Guest Services ahead of time.

You can see the Disney guest card (and pics from our last trip there, if you want!) here: http://www.lovethatmax.com/2010/04/our-trip-to-disney-world-2010-part-1.html

Felicia, Max doesn't like to wear headphones in public... I haven't tried foam earplugs, another great idea from you!! WIll look for them. I also need to see if I can find some purple headphones. Sigh. My life is all purple, all the time.Ellen Seidmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01433429847255621203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-401303964563152307.post-40201392633155006132011-04-28T19:40:15.588-04:002011-04-28T19:40:15.588-04:00This is excellent encouragement for everyone to ta...This is excellent encouragement for everyone to take their family on a vacation! We do plan on doing disney. I was wondering what information you had to present at guest services to get the pass that accomidates those with disablities. Dr.s note? Ticket? Etc? Just want to be well prepared. He hated the rides, loved the characters and freaked out a bit at the loud noises.

The earplug suggestion is a great one if you haven't tried it. For years we used to take Mack to the movies and let him wear the earmuffs my husband has to shoot at the range. They worked beautifully. Eventually, after much exposure, he became far less sensitive to noise.Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15049341972075281915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-401303964563152307.post-42511955912109058502011-04-28T01:21:53.969-04:002011-04-28T01:21:53.969-04:00What a great vacation.
