Yes sir. Or miss. I'm afraid I did not catch your name!! Anyway. No, I can NOT speak--or write--on behalf of anybody else. You are absolutely correct. I can only speak--or write--for myself. And I STRUGGLE with premature short-term memory loss. It really sucks sometimes. But I do not, do not, do not SUFFER from premature short-term memory loss. That is negative thinking, don't you think? I was simply giving credit to whom credit is due, and thanking Ellen for altering my perspective. Good night, and I appreciate you not being mean with your words!! ;)
--Raelyn
Mary Louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01005199691237610718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-401303964563152307.post-37171310825831999942013-11-17T19:45:47.898-05:002013-11-17T19:45:47.898-05:00I would say if it negatively impacts YOU then you ...I would say if it negatively impacts YOU then you suffer from short term memory loss but you can't speak for other people. I decided to start a monthly service challenge for anyone who would like to include their kids (grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc.) in service. It can be small acts of kindness or community service projects. #35

I'd love to see any of you join us! Hi, I am not linking up to this post or ...Ellen....
Hi, I am not linking up to this post or anything. I'm simply commenting. Remember a few posts back when you--and everyone else--discussed whether or not we should say/write the word "suffer" concerning "special needs"/learning disabilities? To which I wholeheartedly agreed. Well. I have been feeling quite contradicting ever since this post, and you opened up my eyes. How so? My youngest brother may not suffer from Down syndrome. {Which is true!!} However. I've said/written that I suffer from premature short-term memory loss. {Which feels true, when even as a girl growing up, I could not memorize things, and people comment how I'm much too young for "brain farts".} From here on forward, I intend to alter my wording. I am a writer. I can do that!! From here on forward, I shall say/write this. "I struggle with premature short-term memory loss.". Which is not at all far from the truth. Thanks, Ellen, for the perspective!! ;)
--Raelyn

Mary Louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01005199691237610718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-401303964563152307.post-77055676577144429552013-11-15T10:08:16.868-05:002013-11-15T10:08:16.868-05:00Oops, any chance you can remove #25? I went into Chrome to post and didn't realize it had stored what I'd posted last week. #26 is the correct one, about how "self-talk" helps children with Down syndrome (and likely others) work through thoughts and feelings and to make decisions.Beccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14963099760885760598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-401303964563152307.post-90641998780508352322013-11-15T08:35:31.086-05:002013-11-15T08:35:31.086-05:00Hi everyone, it's the weekend!
