  2. He is beautiful.
That pout - we need to teach him to work that thing when he gets older! ;-)
    Max looks so happy.
    Aunt Kate is happy, too!
I am on the edge of my seat waiting patiently for more details... like what was the doctor doing all day that your C-Section was so late?!?!? Does he not know who you are??? :-)
So much love to all of you as you get to know Mister Ben Spencer.

    1. One of my sister's C- sections was delayed by a whole day--multiple emergencies which took priority

    2. I remember reading that her one with Sabrina was delayed a lot- so much she threatened to walk out.

  4. This may sound really dumb but how is Ben Spencer named after Bob and Stanley? I don't get it. But he sure is cute.

    1. First letters: B (Ben/Bob) & S (Spencer/Stanley). Very common in Judaism (though I have no idea if that entered into the naming thoughts). For example, I'm named after my grandfather Bernie. :-)

  6. Lovely!, and for Kathryn A, it's a first letter name of honor thing, as I understand it. Naming for loved ones who have passed. Can't wait to see how the new addition unfolds!

I was wondering the same thing!! Maybe Ben is short or Benjamin.... A good strong Biblical name!! Or maybe not. I used to know a family who named their second born son Jake. Not Jacob. Just Jake. So you never know.... To each one their own, right? ;)
      Love you later, Raelyn

    2. I think since Ellen listed the first and middle name, Ben is his full name not Benjamin.

I think so, too!! Like I mentioned earlier, I knew a family who named their second born son Jake.... ;)

    4. On the bright side, it's very hard (as in: nearly impossible) to misspell Ben.

    5. I love it being "Ben"

The only downside is what my friend Mike jokes: that his name should really be "Just Mike."

      Tons of People: So Michael....
      Mike: It's actually "Just Mike"

    1. Also I have a some what strange question. What happens to the baby whence their born if they don't stay in the nicu or special care nursery? Do they go home that day or the next day and what happens then? I never understood because I spent my first four nearly five months in the NICU and special care nursery.

    2. Usually we go home within a few days. On day 3, I and my sister were discharged from the hospital. Mommy and daddy(he was alive then) were so happy.
