  2. Thanks, Ellen. Dexter's at #5. This week, ours is a post about his Mum's massages - the kind that bruise! Dexter was in hospital this week, but he's better now and back home. Happy weekend, everyone. x

  6. Posts from Disability Thinking:

    28. Three videos, 2 I have blogged about before, the first one new to me, about bullying and self-esteem.

    29. This may not appeal to everyone, but it meant a lot to me as a person with a disability. I can’t help thinking that I wish I’d been able to see something like this when I was, say, between 16 and 25 years old. I might even wish my parents had been able to see it, too, though I’m sure I would have been too mortified to discuss it with them!

    30. Going back to something I read and posted about in the Fall, an absolutely stunning “Letter” written by Australian TV presenter Stella Young, to her young self as a girl with disabilities. It deals with sexuality, but so much more as well. It made me cry a little and I think it’s essential reading.

  8. Hey Ellen! My post was just a real time update on where we are and what we are doing. It's not about the subject of disability - but I guess since almost half of our family has a disability, it can be a thread woven in our fabric? I hope that's okay.

Anyway, take care and I'm glad to see all the other posts here. This link up sure is a busy place!

  9. #53 Rare disease day...Thank you so much for doing this link up! I have made more connections with other people raising a Rare kiddo. Most of my friends don't have to deal with any of the stuff that we do so most days I feel alone with no one to relate to. This has given me those connections that I have been looking for!

  13. Thank you for giving us a chance to share our blogs! I blog about what I've learned from the people with special needs I work with but this week, wrote a post about my son's recovery from drug addiction and how the people with special needs I know and love have helped me recover. I would love to hear your thoughts…but you are inundated with comments! I'd be honored to hear back from you sometime!

  14. It's my first blog post of the year and it's already March. Where does the time go? Can you tell I'm thinking spring with my new blog header? Praying for warmer weather here in North Dakota where it has been below 0 the last three days!
