  2. I could not help but notice how attentive you were to the color purple in planning the day! Even the balloon clown lady had purple balloons at the ready. Too neat, what a good mom you are!

I am also amazed how cool your kids are, not the least bit fazed by that balloon clown. Either that, or you are an artful photographer and shot around the "looks" that kids can give. My hooligans would be sobbing and screaming and wailing if a clown came anywhere near them, even making balloon animals or hats or giving out candy or whatever. I think it's genetic, they inherited my irrational distrust of clowns for some reason!

Great pictures (you always do take good ones)--the kids look adorable!! Time sure flies when you're having fun. Wait until your little big boy turns ten, you'll wonder where the years went...!

  3. Yes, purple was the party's theme! You should have seen me last week trying to track down purple cutlery, I was a mom on a mission.

Not being scared of the clown was a major milestone for Max. He'd actually met her this fall at a school event, and even then he wasn't scared of her although last year—like your boys, Felicia—he might have run screaming from the room. Merriloons the Clown ROCKED! She even wore a purple cape coming in!

She had lots of purple balloons, but whenever she went to blow up one for another kid, Max got agitated—he's very protective of his purple. So Max was the only kid with purple balloons!

  10. Great pictures! Max looks adorable with his front teeth missing! I didn't think it was possible for his smile to get any cuter than it already was! Kudos to you for the purple theme (and even Sabrina got in on the purple - what a good sis!). Looks like Max had a great time. I am also impressed that he was OK with the clown - that is a pretty big deal!

  15. Thank you so much for sharing that. Hurray for purple! Did Sabrina pick out her dress herself?

(How did you keep Barney out of that party?)

  16. Sabrina and Max are in a fierce war over who most loves the color purple. Sabrina adapted it as her favorite color out of jealousy, Max isn't having any of it. More to be revealed at a later date.
