Hello! It's nice to meet you. In case you're wondering....
How This All Started
I launched Love That Max in October 2008 as an inspirational, informational, occasionally irreverent blog. It has been featured on The Motherlode, AOL's homepage and CNN.com, as well as in Redbook, Good Housekeeping and Woman's Day magazines.

Who Am I, Anyway?
A longtime magazine editor, I am very adept at grasping pencils. Also, I've held senior positions at Redbook, Good Housekeeping, SELF, Child, Teen People and Glamour, where I spent eight years as deputy editor and helped relaunch Glamour.com. I've worked as a freelance editor for Redbook, American Baby, Martha Stewart Living, Whole Living, Allure, People StyleWatch and In Style. I have yet to fulfill my lifelong dream of running American Funeral Director magazine.
Various Other Stuff I Do When I Am Not Raising My Kids, Sleeping, Eating Or Breathing
I'm the special needs blogger for Parents.com and I also write 1000 Perplexing Things About Parenthood at Babble. I've done content projects for Parents Connect, USAToday/BlogHer, Huggies.com, Disney's BabyZone and Makeup.com; contributed to iVillage, Traveling Mom, The Huffington Post and Mom Blog Magazine; and served on the Social Media Advisory Board of Care.com. An essay of mine is featured in the anthology The Elephant in The Playroom. I am on the advisory committee for BlogHer's HealthMinder day 2012. I also speak at blogging conferences, including Blissdom, Blogalicious and Type-A Parent.
Sometimes I Work With Brands
* I am open to sponsored campaigns with companies whose message I believe in. Ones I've worked with include Procter & Gamble, Kleenex, CVS and Barilla.
* This blog is PR-friendly. I like giveaways because nobody deserves treats more than moms do (I'm subjective that way). I've worked with companies including Toys 'R Us, Starbucks, Lancome, Burt's Bees, Staples, Jockey, SpaFinder, Amy's Kitchen, The Body Shop, Gilt Groupe, Panasonic, Subway, McDonald's, Nivea, ProFlowers and Dunkin' Donuts.
