Being non-verbal, I haven't had that with Luke (now 14). However - for the past year or so if he is unsure of where we are going or wants me to know if he is unhappy he will put his hand on my shoulder (he sits behind me). Even more exciting, in the past 2 months he has started to ask for McDonald's using his iPad. It has been when I have picked him up from his after school program -- I heard the "Community", "Restaurants", "McDonalds" and know to turn the radio off. Then the familiar "Double Cheeseburger", "1", "2" "3", "Sprite". (He counts to 3 to let me know he wants 3). I take him every single time. Janetnoreply@blogger.com
