He is only 2 and he's been doing 1 on 1 speech therapy for about 4 months and he is definitely starting to talk to his dad and to me, but when he gets in front of his therapist he totally clams up! And I'm telling her, I swear he says those words to us! He's like Michigan J. Frog! ;)Diana https://www.blogger.com/profile/05423860707852621053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-401303964563152307.post-15318198056262491002014-09-30T19:43:28.470-04:002014-09-30T19:43:28.470-04:00My music teacher is getting a pinwheel thing for m...My music teacher is getting a pinwheel thing for my flute. As a 28 weeker born weighing 1 lb 14 oz and 13 inches long(so was my fraternal twin sister), I spent 12 weeks in the NICU(as did my sister). Im 16 now and for the most part we are both doing great. I know we are lucky. This month also marked the first time I heard a negative comment about being in the NICU. I gave a Spanish presentation on my life and included a picture of me at 10 days old, tubes and all. One boy said, "Ugly". He also said it to the other girl in the class who is a preemie(31 weeker). After class he was forced to apologize and the other girl said, "we had other things to worry about besides looks-like living" Best comeback ever. Anyway Happy NICU month to everyone who was ever in the NICU.Kathrynnoreply@blogger.com
