Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-Up: Share, Like Yo Momma Said

Welcome to another Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-Up, where it's considered not just polite but awesome to share.

The idea

Link to a favorite post of the week—yours or someone else's.

What to do

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post. Where it says "Your name" put the name of your blog followed by the title of your post (or just the name of the post, if there's no room—you get 80 characters).

Like this: Love That Max: Should I Change My Name To Lightning McQueen?

Where it says "Your URL" put the direct link to the post.

Click "Enter." Leave a comment if you want to say more. Go check out some great posts.

Happy linking!

  1. This week at Uncommon Sense: An Open Letter to the Parent of a Child with Speech Delays. It's the type of post that I wish existed when I was fumbling around and trying to figure out how to help my (mostly) nonverbal (5 yr old) daughter---important and full of resources

Thanks Ellen---I hope you're feeling better!

  2. Ha, I loved the post of Dana's that was An Open Letter to the Parent of a Child with Speech Delays. It has really sprung me into action with regard to an AAC for my son. But I wrote this week about Autism Awareness and April and how people in my Facebook feed are reacting to Autism Awareness Month. I love these link ups, I love all these posts and now the challenge is for me to find time to read them!

  3. Tough decision today! I liked *all* of my posts this week. LOL Went with one about the difficult but critical task of unifying the advocacy movements/organizations for Down syndrome in the US so resources can be pooled and put to the best uses.

  4. Thanks for this awesome opportunity to share. A while back our teenaged son with Down syndrome asked my wife what happened to him (what was wrong with him). Her response was brilliant, poignant and touching.

  5. Some fantastic posts, as always! Wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you Ellen, for running this revert week and giving us all the chance to share our stories with everyone else, as well as sharing everyone else's with us!
    Does that even make sense?
Ah well, here's to another weekend link up!

  11. Hi! I'm Nick, and I once was a child with special needs, and now am 31, still on a ventilator 24/7. And I blog about the way public policy effects people with complex medical needs and other unrepresented groups. I shared my most recent post, the issue I care most passionately about, the arbitrary cut-off of life-sustaining care at age 21 in many states.
