Special Needs Blogger Weekend Link-Up: Oh, happy day!

It's another weekend link-up for bloggers with kids who have special needs. The Surgeon General has determined that sharing posts is good for your health, so join in!

The idea

Share a favorite post of the week.

What to do

Where it says "Your name" put the name of your blog followed by the title of your post (or just the name of the post, if there's no room—you get 80 characters).

Like this: If You're Staring At Me, Something's Wrong With YOU

Where it says "Your URL" put the direct link to the post.

Click "Enter." Leave a comment if you want to say more. Go check out some great posts.

Happy linking!

  1. Hey, Ellen - it came up full of last week's links - I think you used last week's collection code this week by accident.

    1. Thanks! Just realized that and fixed it. Note to self: NO blogging before coffee.

    2. Gotcha. In my own pre-caffeinated state I stared at it for 5 minutes trying to figure out how I had already linked up and why it was the wrong post and why there were so many others already so early... until understanding finally dawned upon me.

    3. Laughing! Thanks for joining in again. Off to read your post (and I just downed a huge cup of iced coffee, so will be fully alert).

  2. This week I wrote about humility and how people are kind of awesome if you just ask. Thank you for the opportunity to share! Love that Max!

  3. Decided to post a fun cupcake entry from two weeks ago. My little bub has been on a ketogenic diet since November 5th in the hopes that it will help his intractable epilepsy. I wanted to treat him to a cupcake and he apparently had a spiritual awakening with the darn thing!

  4. I'm so glad you do this on Friday's and Jessie is so glad that you entice so many readers over to her! Thanks for all the positive reinforcement for her for blogging regularly! I'd like, somehow, to also put a button linky thingee at the bottom that would bring people over here. But I am in no way technologically savy ...

  6. Thanks for hosting! My post is all about these "studies" that keep coming out linking autism to one thing or the other and how we shouldn't pay them much mind or use them as a tool to beat ourselves up over our kids' diagnoses.

  7. I love that you do this!

My post is about the journal I sent around the country to different moms to kids with Autism. It's now in an art gallery!

  8. Thanks for hosting this again!
I linked to my post about a group that we arranged to come to my daughter's school. They talk about inclusion and disabilities using large puppets!

  10. Thanks for the linky party, Ellen! My husband and I left out kids at home for a little R&R - and whenever we do this, all I think about is the boys. And then my mind goes to "Did I make the right decision to stop trying...?" This blog post is a good reminder to me that I was given just what I need...and I'm okay.

xoxoxo to you and YOUR beautiful two, as always!
    kate.

  12. Thanks for the link-up, Ellen!

I tried my hand at making a slideshow and embedding it in my blog this week...quite the trial and error process!

  13. Thanks Ellen! I neglected to use Mister Linky's Magical Tool, though, and gave the wrong name for my post!! The link is right though :) Have a great weekend!

  17. Thanks for the linkup. November is prematurity awareness month, and this week, I wrote about how prematurity affects the siblings as well. It's hard for our four year old, but he loves his little sister like nothing I have ever seen. He's such an inspiration!

  18. What a great idea! Can't wait to see what other bloggers have to say. I am the mother/blogger of ABoyNamedsilas.blogspot.com. Silas stopped breathing 90 minutes after he was born and has suffered a lot of health setbacks as a result. But what am amazing kid he is! Thanks for visiting!
